With more than 25 years of leadership experience in the construction industry, Chris delivers strategic guidance on project planning, cost estimating, bid analysis, scheduling, risk management, and full-lifecycle construction operations.
Prior to launching Strata, Chris served as Vice President of Design & Construction Advisory Services at Colliers in Houston, where he advised clients on complex commercial projects. His expertise spans tenant improvements and renovations, data center developments, laboratory and technical facility expansions, industrial projects, and large-scale commercial builds. Chris is particularly skilled at creating detailed bid comparisons, cost models, comprehensive scope documents, and procurement strategies that help clients optimize budgets, timelines, and outcomes while minimizing risk.
Through Strata, Chris offers independent, client-focused advisory with a practical, data-driven approach. He works closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution from preconstruction through closeout, always prioritizing quality, safety, and value.
A graduate of Texas State University, Chris is based in the Houston and is committed to helping clients navigate today’s challenging construction environment with tailored, high-impact solutions.
Trey johnson
Vice President - Energy Solutions
With extensive experience in construction, project development, and client leadership, Trey Johnson serves as Vice President of Energy Solutions at Strata Consulting Services, providing strategic guidance to owners throughout the planning and execution of complex energy, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
Trey’s experience spans preconstruction, estimating, construction operations, project development, and client relationship management. He works closely with owners to develop execution strategies, coordinate project teams, and maintain visibility across cost, schedule, quality, procurement, and risk.
At Strata, Trey leads the Energy Solutions practice, supporting large-scale capital projects from early planning and preconstruction through construction, commissioning, and closeout. He works alongside owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and key stakeholders to strengthen communication, create accountability, mitigate risk, and protect the owner’s interests throughout the project lifecycle.
A graduate of the University of Houston, Trey is focused on expanding Strata’s presence within the energy and industrial markets while delivering independent, solutions-driven representation that creates lasting value for clients.
